Strange Fruit is a quarterly zine purposed to foster awareness about Take ‘Em Down NOLA’s work to remove symbols that honor, and systems that perpetuate, white supremacy. It is a response to the coalition’s internal investigations of how to more effectively connect with our target audience, and encourage engagement amongst our communities. Strange Fruit offers a tangible solution, while addressing the consistent need for shared insight that elevates discourse and action in the interest of justice. Strange Fruit will also serve as an advocacy tool for Take ‘Em Down NOLA’s organizing work moving forward.
