Artist: Blue House Civic Studio

This new program places artists and their work in dialogue with journalism and reimagines newspapers as forums for artists to create original work that speaks to civic issues. The Platforms Fund grant allows the Blue House Civic Studio and the New Orleans Advocate to pilot this program, beginning with two artists addressing the court system and two artists addressing water infrastructure. This project diversifies the voices present in media and creates new pathways for viewers to engage with local news and issues.
